Awesome stuff once again! Was there any reason why Michelle seemed to always have orange and/or black on? I think it was very rare, maybe a scene or two, that she didn’t have at least one of these colors…
That’s interesting – didn’t realise she was in orange and black in nearly every scene! We were very controlled about the palette, though, and wanted to have one particular colour ‘popping’ out in every scene, against what was often a duller background. That was especially the case when it came to Michelle, who enters the boys’ world with such a splash!
We're Glenn Leyburn and Lisa Barros D'Sa and this is a blog about our directing work. Our first feature film CHERRYBOMB is in cinemas in the UK and Ireland from April 23 2010. We've gathered together here some of the ideas, influences and experiences involved in making the film, as well as bits and pieces on past and ongoing projects. We have a production company, Canderblinks Film and Music, with our friend and collaborator, David Holmes.
Ohhh, I loved seeing the picture of Cybil Shepard, what a nice surprise. And of course, Molly Ringwald and Deborah Harry.
I really liked the comparison of Michelle’s style to Andy’s in Pretty in Pink. A definite match. Really cool.
